My Mom's Books

I am going to post more about my summer but first I am going to post about two of my mom's books. They are both about the Bible.

Just for Me: The Bible is for ages 6-9. It has stories, rebus stories, activities, journaling, crafts, puzzles and more. It is really a fun book to do.
The Christian Girl's Guide to the Bible is for ages 9-12, or 3rd/4th-6th grades. It goes through the Bible section by section but more in depth than the easier book. It also has journaling, stories, crafts and more. Girls who read through the book will come away with a basic knowledge of what is in the Bible and what the major events are.
Consider reading through one of these books with your girls or using it as a girl's Bible study book for a small group.
These books are available at amazon.com and christianbook.com but I encourage you to check your local Christian bookstore first as many of them are struggling in these hard times.

Summer

Sorry it's been so long since I posted but I've been really busy. I'll try to catch up about my summer.

My dad was taking my brother Adam to mission camp. They left about 6:10 a.m that day. The same day my mom was taking me to music camp and my sister was with. We didn't leave until about 7:30. We drove over an hour and my mom saw my dad standing by the highway but no sign of the van. He was just standing there! So we pulled over. I didn't see him and thought my mom pulled over because something was wrong with the SUV. Turns out the van had died but my dad had gotten it off on an exit, left the van and Adam and got a ride back to the highway so he could watch for us. He'd been standing there an hour.

We got the car towed to a service station and found out that the engine was dead. No real surprise. There were no rental cars in that city or nearby so we drove on to the next large city and got my dad a rental car so he could get Adam to camp and pick Ty up at the airport.

We went and ate at a mall food court before we went our own way.
.

This is my younger brother at camp. They bring their stuff in a card board box and are given large duffel bags. Adam was suppose to be on the Haiti team but didn't raise enough money and is on the home team in FL instead.
We were originally headed for Wild Adventure but went to the mall instead.

We got a hotel and hung out in the pool.
The next day we went to Wild Adventures for a few hours.

This is the most awesome water ride! You go down the green/blue tunnel. It doesn't look like much of a drop into the big cone part but it feels like it from the inside. You fly way up, back and forth in the cone. It feels like you are going to go clear around in a circle but obviously you don't.

Then we drove to music camp
My mom and sister got a hotel for the night.

They stopped by Wild Adventures for a couple hours on their way home
